Empowerment aims to uplift a community and individuals through using each other's differences to encourage one another. The purpose of the Empowerment Workshops is to recognize the marginalized, to uplift all students, and to make them feel heard, seen, and acknowledged through giving them a voice. During W.E.L.L.'s portion of these schoolwide workshops, we discuss gender equality, societal norms and expectations, and women empowerment. We aim to show students that they do not need to try to fit a certain mold or stereotype. Instead, they should be themselves and empower others to be themselves as well.

In response to current events, our goal for the "Celebrating Diversity Workshops" was to raise awareness in regards to diversity, culture, mental health, personal identity, and overall unite the community despite our superficial differences. We hope that through these workshops, students have found common ground in their different experiences and we created a safe space for students to educate and express themselves. During W.E.L.L.'s portion of these workshops, we discussed gender equality, its importance, and how we can all relate to gender issues. As a group, we discussed different examples of gender discrimination that we have faced and why it is important to highlight and improve upon this issue.
